One of the most powerful parts is about breaking faith with another, in order to be true to yourself. Many of us learn about the importance of accountability and integrity - that we must walk our talk and be true to our word. Oriah emphasises that, sometimes, in order to be true to ourselves and our calling, we may need to be faithless to another person, to break our promise or commitment to them. That's a hard place to be, but essential if I want to be true to my highest calling. Sometimes it is simply better for all concerned to break a promise made at a different time and under different circumstances.
